The Chronic Dev Team has released yet another version of Greenpois0n. The new version is called Greenpois0n RC4, and this time it supports the iPod Touch 2nd Generation. Users will now be able to jailbreak there iPod Touch 2G's on the 4.1 Firmware! There's nothing different about the the jailbreak itself other then the added support for the iPod Touch 2G. Currently Greenpois0n supports the iPhone 4, the iPhone 3GS, the iPod Touch 2G both MB and MC Model Types, the iPod Touch 3G , the iPod Touch 4G, and the iPad (On 3.2.2 FW). Greenpois0n will work on the devices listed running the 4.1 Firmware. Hopefully we'll see support for the iPhone 3G in the next update! Thanks Chronic Dev team! Greenpois0n was supposed to be released today to jailbreak the new Apple 4.1 firmware. Unfortunately, Geo Hot released his jailbreaking tool yesterday called Limera1n. His tool is also designed to jailbreak the 4.1 firmware but uses a different exploit then then Pod2g's SHAtter exploit. Although Limera1n is very useful, he stole the spotlight from the Chronic Dev Team. Now the Chronic Dev Team has delayed the release of Greenpois0n to take the time to implement Geo Hot's exploit into the Greenpois0n jailbreaking tool, and uploaded a new picture of greenpois0n on the Greenpois0n website. The website displays a picture of the Greenpois0n symbol with delayed written accross it. (picture to the left). Hopefully the Chronic Dev Team can push out Greenpois0n as soon as possible!

hey everyone I have good new for everyone looking to jailbreak there device. Just today the iPhone Dev team released redsn0w 0.9.6. Redsn0w 0.9.6 is the newly updated redsn0w allowing users to jailbreak there iPhone 3G, and iPod Touch 2G running on the new 4.1 Firmware. Now This only works for the iPhone 3G and the iPod Touch 2nd Gen! As of right now, redsn0w is only out for the Mac but it should be coming out for windows pretty soon. People who dont have the iPhone 3G or iPod Touch 2G, wait for Greenpois0n or Sn0wbreeze.

Redsn0w will also work for the iPod Touch 2G (new MC model)
but you will only be allowed to perform a tethered jailbreak.

I will make a video when this jailbreak is released for windows!

Hey guys, I have some more iOS 4.1 jailbreak information. Just recently on Twitter, Chronic Dev Team members, were discussing how the old Greenpois0n jailbreaking tool, is being used again. This time I think to jailbreak the new 4.1 firmware. The old Greenpois0n website image was also updated with this shiny new image! (below) Why else would they update it? Hopefully we'll see a jailbreak pretty soon!
